Coaching at Ashburton is led by a dedicated team of parents, ex-athletes and senior athletes, based at Ashburton Oval.
This season we have Moses Peauafi, who also runs his own personal fitness business, Rally Point. Moses has been a competitive athlete and the club has him on club nights to help with our track and field. Moses has set a great example to the club showing his track skills at Inter-club nights in Timaru. He has been an invaluable support to the team at the Dunedin Colgate Games 2024.
It's important to note that none of our senior coaches receive payment from the club. Some coaches may request a small fee from their athletes to help cover their costs. Most of our senior coaches focus on athletes aged 14 and older. Younger athletes interested in coaching are encouraged to discuss their needs with the Coaching Convenor.
At Ashburton, we are committed to encouraging all athletes to reach their full potential, whether they are training for competition or simply looking to improve their skills.
We are always looking for passionate and experienced coaches to join our team. If you have a background in track and field, are committed to the season, and are excited about preparing athletes for New Zealand Secondary Schools and National Track and Field Championships, or just help out at grassroots on club night, we want to hear from you! Interested? Please contact the Coaching Convenor to discuss opportunities and how you can contribute to our athletics community.
